Lok Sabha Elections 2024 Opinion Poll: BJP To Mark Thumping Victory In Uttarakhand, Likely To Win All 5 Seats
With Lok Sabha elections 2024 around the corner, survey agencies and political pundits are trying to predict the mood of the nation. The latest opinion poll for Uttarakhan's 5 Lok Sabha seats conducted by Jan Ki Baat claimed that BJP is likely to repeat its performance in the upcoming elections. The survey outcomes indicate that PM Modi's popularity and the state government's good governance are likely to retain the voters' trust and support for the saffron front one more time. It is expected that BJP may bag above 60% of mandate, which is similar to the 2014 and 2019 performances.
The data suggests that in Pauri Garhwal, BJP candidate Anil Baluni is expected to capture approximately 69.7 percent of the votes, leaving the Congress candidate far behind at 25 percent, with other contenders forecasted to receive around 4.3 percent.

Similarly, in Nainital Udham Singh Nagar, the BJP is anticipated to secure 63 percent of the votes, while the Congress is projected to garner 32 percent, with the remaining five percent likely distributed among other candidates.
The Tehri Garhwal constituency appears strongly in favor of the BJP, with an estimated 71 percent of the votes predicted to go to the party, while the Congress trails at 25 percent, and others are expected to receive four percent.
For Almora, the BJP is forecasted to secure 67 percent of the votes, while the Congress is expected to receive 28 percent, with the remaining five percent going to other candidates.
In Haridwar, the BJP is expected to receive 50.4 percent of the votes, with the Congress trailing at 35.6 percent, while others are projected to capture 14 percent.
The survey underscores a clear mandate for the BJP in Uttarakhand, with expectations of securing a significant majority. Except for Haridwar, where the BJP is projected to receive over 50 percent of the votes, all four Lok Sabha seats are anticipated to witness the BJP's vote share exceeding 60 percent.
It's worth noting that Uttarakhand contributes only five seats to the total of 543 Lok Sabha seats. The BJP has nominated Mala Rajya Laxmi Shah, Anil Baluni, Ajay Tamta, Ajay Bhatt, and Trivendra Singh Rawat as its candidates for these seats.
Voting for Uttarakhand's Lok Sabha seats is scheduled to take place in a single phase on April 19. The BJP had previously secured victories in all Lok Sabha seats in Uttarakhand during both the 2014 and 2019 elections.
