Light showers in some parts of national capital

, June 23: Delhi witnessed light showers and thunderstorm in some areas this morning with the minimum temperature settling at 28 degree Celsius.

Met officials said some areas of the national capital received light rain accompanied by strong winds. "Rain could occur in some areas of the city during the later part of the day," the officials said.

The minimum temperature was registered at 28 degree Celsius while the maximum is expected to settle around 37 degree Celsius today.

Yesterday, the day temperature at Safdarjung observatory was 40 degrees Celsius, two notches above normal.
