Kharge slams BJP on Tarun Vijay's remarks
The House was disrupted by the Congress which was protesting Tarun Vijay's statements.
New Delhi: The opposition Congress created a ruckus in Lok Sabha on Monday over BJP leader Tarun Vijay's racist remarks on south Indians. Speaking in the house, opposition leader, Mallikarjuna Kharge asked what action will be taken by the NDA government on the leader who made the racist remarks.
He also questioned, "Are people living in South India part of the country or not? This shows your mentality, do you want to divide India?"

Kharge warned the agitation by the Congress inside and outside of the house if the government fails to take quick action on Vijay Tarun.
Responding to the allegations made by the rivals in the house, Home Minister Rajanth Singh said that India is a secular country, discrimination on basis of creed, caste, religion, color cannot be allowed here. He also said that Vijay has already apologised for his remarks.
Earlier in the day, Congress passed an adjournment motion to discuss Vijay Traun's remarks. The lower house was adjourned till 11:20 am after the opposition leaders created hungama in the house.
