Kharge slams BJP on Tarun Vijay's remarks
The House was disrupted by the Congress which was protesting Tarun Vijay's statements.

over
BJP
leader
Tarun
Vijay's
racist
remarks
on
south
Indians.
Speaking
in
the
house,
opposition
leader,
Mallikarjuna
Kharge
asked
what
action
will
be
taken
by
the
NDA
government
on
the
leader
who
made
the
racist
remarks.
He
also
questioned,
"Are
people
living
in
South
India
part
of
the
country
or
not?
This
shows
your
mentality,
do
you
want
to
divide
India?"
Kharge warned the agitation by the Congress inside and outside of the house if the government fails to take quick action on Vijay Tarun.
Responding to the allegations made by the rivals in the house, Home Minister Rajanth Singh said that India is a secular country, discrimination on basis of creed, caste, religion, color cannot be allowed here. He also said that Vijay has already apologised for his remarks.
Earlier in the day, Congress passed an adjournment motion to discuss Vijay Traun's remarks. The lower house was adjourned till 11:20 am after the opposition leaders created hungama in the house.
