Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday filed a complaint against Malayalam poet Sreekumar stating that he has insulted the Hindu god's and spoke in a provocative manner against the Sangh Parivar organisations.
This comes after police arrested six BJP-RSS workers in connection with the attack on the poet
Sreekumar was allegedly attacked on Monday night in Kerala's Kollam district while he was returning from a public function.
Sreekumar was abused and attacked by a group of men when he was about to enter his car. Police had earlier taken six men taken into the custody.
The office of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan intervened in the matter and directed the district police chief to act against the miscreants.
