Kargil war veteran joins BJP, party fields him in WB polls
New Delhi, Mar 18: A Kargil war veteran, Colonel Diptanshu Chaudhary (retd), joined the BJP today and has been fielded as the party candidate from Asansol South in the West Bengal assembly polls.
Union ministers JP Nadda and Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore besides party General Secretary Arun Singh and state co-incharge Sidharth Nath Singh welcomed him into the party at an event here.

Nadda said the former Army officer was among those who were deployed in the Kargil war from the first day to the last while Rathore hoped that he will maintain the same high standards as a BJP politician as he had as a soldier.
