JP Nadda Likely To Continue As BJP President Till December 2024
Jagat Prakash Nadda is likely to continue serving as the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President till December 2024, according to media reports. It was learned that following important assembly elections in Bihar, Haryana, and Maharashtra due in the next couple of months, BJP's internal committee has decided to extend JP Nadda's tenure till the end of this year. JP Nadda's tenure ended at the start of this year, but due to Lok Sabha Elections 2024, he was given an extension till June 2024, and now it has been reported that JP Nadda is likely to continue as party national president till December 2024.
However, the saffron party is actively looking for a new face for the party chief and may appoint him by the start of 2025.

Notably, the BJP has elected JP Nadda as the Leader of the House in Rajya Sabha, additionally, he is taking care of important Union Cabinet portfolios like the Ministry of Health, and the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers.
Election For BJP President:
BJP will commence the election process to elect its new chief from August 1, 2024. But before the top position, the party will run a membership drive across the country till September 15 to strengthen its ground-level cadre and units. The party will also run a membership renewal campaign from October 1 to October 15, 2024. Every party member has to renew their membership after 9 years, according to BJP's membership norms, and this time, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP chief JP Nadda and several other top leaders will renew their memberships.
BJP's Mandal (local unit) president elections will take place between November 1 to 15, followed by district president elections between November 16 to 30, 2024.
