Jija Ji Will Contest Amethi Then What Will Saale Sahab Do?: Smriti Irani Mocks Rahul Gandhi, Robert Vadra
The battle of the Lok Sabha elections 2024 is intensifying day by day as no political heavyweights are leaving no chance to attack the opponent. On Tuesday, Union Minister and BJP Candidate from Amethi Smriti Irani took a jibe at former Congress chief and MP Rahul Gandhi and his brother-in-law Robert Vadra stating she did more development work in the last 5 years in her constituency compared to Rahul Gandhi's last 15 years tenure.
Replying to reports that Robert Vadra may contest Amethi's seat, Smriti Irani launched a scathing attack stating "Jijaji ki nazar hai, saale sahab kya karenge. (brother-in-law is eyeing the seat, what will he (Mr Gandhi) do?)

Mocking the Gandhi family, Smriti Irani said, "There was a time when people traveling in buses would leave their handkerchief to mark their seat so that no one sits on it. Rahul Gandhi will also come to mark his seat with a handkerchief because his brother-in-law is eyeing this seat".
Irani has been attacking Congress and Rahul Gandhi and challenging him to contest against her. Notably, in the 2019 elections, Smriti Irani demolished Congress' bastion Amethi.
Smriti Irani said, "Has this ever happened? Just 27 days left for election, but Congress has not announced its candidate. Such arrogance. What I could do in five years, Rahul Gandhi could not do in 15."
Recently, she attacked the Congress leader stating he ran away from Amethi and now will face a defeat in Wayanad too.
However, the Congress has not shown its cards, and party workers have been demanding that Rahul Gandhi should contest from Amethi again as the losing margin was only 50,000 votes last time and nobody will be surprised if the table turns around again.
Amethi will go to poll on May 20 in the fifth phase of Lok Sabha elections 2024.
