Jharkhand Assembly Polls 2024: 995 Voters Aged Over 100 Set To Cast Ballots In Phase One
Over 900 centenarians are eligible to vote in 43 assembly constituencies in the first phase of Jharkhand's elections on November 13. Out of 995, 533 are women voters, as per the Election Commission.
"A total of 995 voters aged over 100 years, including 462 men and 533 women, are eligible to cast their ballots in the first phase," an official from the EC said. The state phase of the election will be held on November 13.

According to the electoral rolls, Jharkhand has a total of 2.60 crore voters, including 1.13 lakh senior citizens above 85 years of age.
The filing of nomination papers in the first phase of elections started on Friday and the last date to submit nominations is October 25.
The polling stations will be equipped with assured minimum facilities, including accessibility features such as ramps for persons with disabilities (PwDs) and senior citizens, the official added.
The Election Commission of India (ECI) has said that all polling stations will be on the ground floor. "Further, in order to provide targeted and need-based facilitation to differently-abled voters, the commission has directed that all persons with disabilities and senior citizens in an assembly constituency are identified and tagged to their respective polling stations and necessary disability-specific arrangements made for their smooth and convenient voting experience on poll day," the ECI stated.
The ECI further instructed officials to arrange proper transportation for PwD and senior citizen voters to and from polling stations on election day.
