Jayalalithaa thanks Tripura CM for flood relief aid

Chennai, Dec 24: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa has thanked her Tripura counterpart Manik Sarkar for contibuting Rs 1 crore towards flood relief activities in the state.

"Thank you for your contribution of Rs 1 crore to the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister's Public Relief fund towards relief and rehabilitation of the flood affected people," she told Sarkar in a letter dated December 23.

Further, she said her government was endeavouring to ensure that rehabilitation of the people in the affected districts was accomplished at the earliest.

"Thank you for your concern and support," she said in the letter released by the state government today.
