Jayalalithaa DA case: Sasikala controls party and Poes Garden, SPP tells SC

New Delhi, May 4: Special public prosecutor for Karnataka B V Acharya told the Supreme Court that Sasikala Natrajan is the person with the ultimate power. Sasikala an aide of Tamil Nadu chief was an accused in the disproportinate assets case.

Acharya who is filing his rejoinder said Sasikala referred to as Chinamma is the most powerful person in the AIDMK. She even controls the party as well as Poes Garden the residence of Jayalalithaa Acharya submitted.

Acharya is arguing against the acquittal of Jayalalithaa and others in the disproportinate assets case. He will continue arguments tomorrow and is expected to conclude the same on Thursday.

Acharya told the bench that all the companies were floated in the name of Sasikala and others. This was done to convert unlwaful wealth into lawful income.

The SPP also said that ilubder no circumstance should the acquittal be upheld. In the interest of law the acquittal order of the High Court of Karnataka must be reversed and these persons be convicted he also argued.
