J&K: LeT commander Ayub Lelhari killed
In a gun battle between the security forces and the terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district on Wednesday, LeT commander Ayub Lelhari was killed.
The encounter took place at Kakpora area of Banderpora in Pulwama.
Jammu and Kashmir DGP described Lelhari's killing as a great success for the forces.
"He (Ayub Lelhari) was one of the most wanted terrorists. It's a great success for the forces," Vaid told ANI.
On Saturday, the security forces had gunned down three terrorists in Shopian area of the state.
Two soldiers were killed and three others were also injured in the gun battle in Shopian. The exchange of fire began after security forces launched a cordon and search operation in Awneera village when they suspected terrorist activity. As the security forces were conducting searches, the militants opened fire on them.

Earlier this month, Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) commander Abu Dujana was killed in an encounter in Kashmir.
