Jharkhand Police Bust Inter-State Gang Involved in Liquor Shop Loots, Vehicle Thefts
An inter-state gang involved in robbery, looting liquor shops, and stealing vehicles was dismantled with the arrest of eight members in Jharkhand's East Singhbhum district, a senior police officer stated on Thursday. The arrests were made following a Special Investigation Team (SIT) operation.

SSP Kishore Kaushal formed the SIT to investigate and apprehend the gang members. On Wednesday, Kaushal received intelligence that the gang was moving around various parts of the district, including Jamshedpur, in four-wheelers to execute their plans.
Vehicle-Checking Drive Leads to Arrests
Accompanied by SP City & Rural Rishabha Garg, the SIT launched a vehicle-checking drive across the district. During this operation, they intercepted a Bolero near Salbani Mode and arrested four individuals. These suspects confessed to committing multiple loot and burglary incidents in East Singhbhum district.
The accused admitted to crimes in areas such as Bistupur, Sonari, Kadma, Sakchi, and Sidgora. They also confessed to similar activities in Adityapur, Gamariah, Seraikela, and Chandil in Seraikela-Kharswan district, Chakradharpur in West Singhbhum district, and various locations in Odisha.
Recovery of Stolen Goods
Their confessions led to the arrest of four more gang members. The police recovered 55 cartons of liquor of different brands, four four-wheelers, eight mobile phones, a cutter, and scissors. This recovery has been significant in solving numerous cases.
Kaushal claimed that 20 cases registered across different police stations in three districts of Jharkhand have been solved following these arrests. This includes cases from East Singhbhum, Seraikela-Kharswan, and West Singhbhum districts.
Earlier, Jamshedpur police had busted another gang of vehicle thieves with the arrest of six members. They recovered two dozen stolen motorcycles during this operation. This highlights the ongoing efforts to curb criminal activities in the region.
The successful operation by the SIT has brought relief to residents affected by these crimes. The police continue their efforts to ensure safety and security in the district.
