A leakage was discovered in the main water supply pipeline in Bhagirthpura, where a toilet had been constructed over it. This likely led to water contamination. Officials have formed a three-member committee led by an IAS officer to investigate further into this incident.
Yadav instructed officials to thoroughly examine complaints about leaks in drinking water and sewer lines across the city. Necessary measures will be implemented to prevent such incidents from recurring. New appointments will address staff shortages within the municipal corporation.
The chief minister emphasised that further actions would depend on the detailed investigation report. "Further steps will be taken based on the detailed investigation report," he added.
