Indian students get job offers with pay package of Rs 67 lakh
Jamshedpur, May 11: Two students of the prestigious National Institute of Technology (NIT) here have got job offers from American companies with a pay package of more than hundred thousand dollars per annum.
Epic Systems Corporation of USA in the ongoing placement process has offered two students Kshitij Gupta and Ali Jaheer of B. Tech Computer Science and Engineering branch a pay package of approximately 105,000 dollars (about Rs 67 lakh per annum), Dr Rajiv Bhusan, professor in-charge (media relation) of NIT said in a release on Monday.

In the history of NIT, Jamshedpur, this is the highest annual pay package that a student of the institute has received.
Epic Systems Corporation is a leading health care software company of Vermont, Wisconsin, USA.
The second highest package of Rs 32 lakh per annum was offered by a Japanese company, Works Applications, to two students - Subham Satish Baldava of Computer Science & Engineering and Bharat Singh Bhandari of Electrical Engineering Branch, the release said.
Last year (2013-2014), the highest annual package of 50,00,000 Japanese yen was offered by Works Applications to two students of Computer Science and Engineering of NIT here.
A total of 600 job offers have been made to students till now as the placement season was likely to continue till June, 2015, the release added.
