India Vows Decisive Action Following Pahalgam Terror Attack That Claimed 26 Lives
Maharashtra's Forest Minister, Ganesh Naik, declared that India will retaliate against the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. The attack resulted in the deaths of 26 individuals, mostly tourists from other states. Among the victims were three residents from Dombivli, Thane, Naik's home district. Naik described the incident as a direct assault on India's essence and vowed that the nation would not remain passive.

Naik visited the families of Sanjay Lele, Hemant Joshi, and Atul Mone, who were killed in the April 22 attack. He offered them condolences and support. Speaking to reporters, Naik assured that India's military systems are on high alert and ready for decisive action. "Unless Pakistan is made to pay for this cowardly act, the country and its people will not rest in peace," he stated.
Unity Against Terrorism
The minister emphasised that this was not an ordinary event but a turning point for India. He stressed that the leadership would ensure those responsible are punished. "The people of India have united against terrorism," Naik said. He highlighted that this unity is India's strength and sent a clear message: "We will not let this go unanswered."
Naik condemned the communal motive behind the attack, where terrorists allegedly targeted victims based on religion. He insisted there is no room for politics in this situation. "The terrorists killed innocents," he said, urging the country to respond with unity rather than division.
National Solidarity
Expressing confidence in the people's anger and grief translating into national action, Naik stated that solidarity across the nation would ensure justice. "This wave of solidarity from across the nation will not let such evil forces go unpunished," he said. The minister noted that Indians have spoken with one voice demanding justice.
Naik reiterated that this attack was not just on innocent people but on the spirit of India itself. He assured that India's leadership would ensure perpetrators face consequences. The BJP leader's statements reflect a strong resolve to address terrorism decisively.
The minister's visit to Dombivli underscored his commitment to supporting affected families while reinforcing national unity against terrorism. His words resonated with many who seek justice for those lost in the tragic event.
