INDIA Bloc To Attend Modi's Swearing-In Ceremony? Congress Responds
Congress party informed today that the INDIA bloc will collectively take a call on attending Narendra Modi's swearing-in ceremony scheduled for tomorrow evening.
Congress' key CWC meeting was held today in New Delhi.

Party general secretary KC Venugopal, who attended the meet, said, "The INDIA bloc will collectively take the decision on attending the ceremony."
Meanwhile, Congress leader Jairam Ramesh didn't mince any words while taking a sharp jibe at BJP and Narendra Modi. He said that only leaders from foreign countries have been invited for the event and the Opposition leaders are yet to receive the invitation, reported Times of India.

"Only international leaders have been invited for the swearing-in ceremony. Our leaders have not received any invitation yet. If and when the INDIA bloc leaders receive the invitation, we will think about it," he said.
Invitations have been sent out to the leaders of Sri Lanka, Maldives, Nepal, Seychelles, Bangladesh, Mauritius, and Bhutan. All of them are expected to attend the event tomorrow.
Meanwhile, the Congress Working Committee meet today unanimously passed a resolution to make Rahul Gandhi the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha.
"All participants agreed that Rahul Gandhi should take over the LoP post. During elections, we raised the issues of inflation, unemployment, social justice, and women's equality and safety. These issues need to be raised in a greater manner in the Parliament. Rahul is the best suited person to lead this campaign inside the House," Venugopal said.
