India@70: Website dedicated to gallantry awardees launched by PM Modi

He announced the launch of the website in a series of tweets on the occasion of the Independence Day.

New Delhi, August 15: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday launched a new website which will tell the stories of the bravest men and women, civilians as well as armed forces personnel in a tribute to the gallantry awardees since Independence.

He announced the launch of the website in a series of tweets on the occasion of the Independence Day. "In remembrance of our heroes who have been awarded gallantry awards since Independence, launched the site," Modi said in a tweet.

"The portal http://gallantryawards.gov.in/ will preserve & tell the stories of our bravest men & women, civilians as well as armed forces personnel," he added.

The prime minister asked the public to share if they have any information/photo that is missing and can be added to the portal.
