In Bhopal Funding Case Against JMB, NIA Raids 2 Locations in UP
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted raids at two locations in Uttar Pradesh in connection with the Bhopal terror funding case.
The case relates to the operatives of the Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB).
Officials tell OneIndia that the raids are aimed at exposing the further links and conspiracies of the 10 already existing accused who have been charged by an NIA court.
Six of those arrested in connection with the case are Bangladeshi nationals and are also active cadres of the JMB. Officials also said that these persons had entered India illegally without any valid documents. When caught the agencies found forged and false Indian documents on them. They managed to enter India with the help of some sympathisers, an NIA official said.

The JMB has for long tried to spread its tentacles in India. Operatives from Bangladesh are sent in as illegal immigrants. Under the pretext of doing work, they join terror groups. In recent times it has been found that they have spread across to the southern states as well. Cases similar to this one have been busted in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
For several years now the Intelligence Bureau has been saying that there is a dedicated module in Bangladesh which has been ensuring the infiltration of illegal Bangladeshis into India.
The problem has been immense in the states of West Bengal and some north eastern states. There have also been reports of illegal immigrants entering India and minting huge amounts of money. Investigations have found that many have been involved in counterfeiting, narcotics trade and cattle smuggling.
