'I Will Repeat The Same Thing Again', Says Udhayanidhi Stalin Amid 'Sanatan Dharma' Controversy

Amid the ongoing controversy over eradication of 'Sanatana Dharma', Minister for Youth Welfare and Sports Development of Tamil Nadu Udhayanidhi Stalin firmly said that he would repeat the same thing.

I Will Repeat The Same Thing Again, Says Udhayanidhi Stalin Amid Sanatan Dharma Controversy

Reacting to the criticisms by the opposition over abolishing 'Hindutva', Tamil Nadu Minister Stalin said, Day before yesterday I spoke at a function about it ('sanatana dharma'). Whatever I said... I will repeat the same thing again and again. I included all the religions and not just Hinduism... I spoke condemning the caste differences, that is all."

Earlier too he claimed that he was right over his remarks for 'Sanatana Dharma', and that he never called it genocide as alleged by the BJP.

He further said he is ready to face the consequences after a petition has been filed against him in Bihar Court earlier today. Taking a dig at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), he said that the opposition is afraid of the INDIA bloc and thus it is trying to divert people's attention towards unwanted things.

"I am ready to face whatever cases they file against me. BJP is scared of the INDIA alliance and to divert that they are saying all this..," claimed Stalin.

Stalin has facing criticisms by the opposition after Union Minister Amit Shah said that the INDIA bloc is against Hinduism and thus wants to abolish 'Hindutva'.

While on the other hand Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh demanded an apology from the INDIA bloc for Stalin's remarks on 'Sanatan Dharma' followed by Karnataka BJP leader Basavaraj Bommai who addressed Stalin as 'Hitler'.

However, Karnataka minister Priyank Kharge defended Stalin and said any religion that does not give equal rights is as good as disease.

Interestingly, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee who has been a part of the INDIA bloc has also stepped back from supporting Stalin over his remarks. She said she does not want to be involved in a matter that involves sentiments of people.

"I respect the people of Tamil Nadu and South India. But my humble request to them is that to respect all as every religion has separate sentiments," she was quoted as saying.
