Hyderabad Woman Studying in US, Found Starving On Chicago Street After Belongings Stolen
In a shocking turn of events, a Hyderabad woman, Syeda Lulu Minhaj Zaidi, who went to the USA to pursue a master's degree, was found on Chicago roads fighting depression and on the verge of starvation after her belongings were stolen. According to reports, she went to pursue her MS from TRINE University in Detroit.
Syeda's mother, Syeda Wahaj Fatima, has been desperately seeking help to bring her daughter back to India and has written an emotional appeal to External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar.

The letter surfaced on social media after Majlis Bachao Tehreek (MBT) spokesperson Amjed Ullah Khan and Bharat Rashtra Samithi leader Khaleequr Rahaman shared it on Twitter handle.
The heartfelt letter highlights the harrowing ordeal her daughter is going through, expressing the anguish of a mother witnessing her child's suffering from afar. In the video, the woman says that her name is Syeda Lulu Minhaj Zaidi and she belongs to Hyderabad. Upon being questioned about her well-being, she shares that she was taken to a hospital for medical treatment, but unfortunately, she became even weaker after her blood samples were drawn for testing.
A compassionate man was then seen offering her dal and roti as dinner and assured her of assistance. He encouraged her to return to India.
The video has left netizens in disbelief, and they express their concern, urging immediate action to bring her back to Hyderabad.
A Twitter user, who claims to have known her since childhood, expresses shock at her current condition, reminiscing about her as an exceptionally diligent and studious child.
Initially, she was in regular contact with her family, but over the past two months, all communication ceased. Disturbingly, it was recently revealed through two Hyderabad youths that Syeda Lulu Minhaj Zaidi was battling depression, and someone had stolen her belongings, leaving her without basic necessities and pushed her to the brink of starvation.
Syeda Wahaj Fatima pleaded with the Embassy of India in Washington DC and the Indian Consulate in Chicago to intervene urgently and bring her daughter back to India. She expressed hope that with the help of Mohammed Minhaj Akhter, her daughter's whereabouts could be traced, and necessary actions could be taken to rescue her from the distressing situation she finds herself in.
