Horses, Travel & Colour Theory? AI Techie Cracks Bumble Algorithm, Bags 100+ Matches In 10 Mins | Tips Inside
A Bengaluru man has stunned social media users by claiming that he received more than 100 matches on the dating app Bumble within just 10 minutes at Bengaluru airport. His revelation has sparked widespread disbelief online.
Ankit, the man behind the viral claim, shared a screenshot of his matches on X, formerly Twitter, leaving users astonished. The image displayed the "Chats" section of the app, showing "Your matches" with an impressive count of 111. To maintain privacy, he covered the profile pictures of his matches with emojis.
"10 minutes of bored swiping at Bangalore airport is all you need," he captioned his post.
In a follow-up post, Ankit shared his strategy for increasing matches on dating apps. He recommended a data-driven approach, using premium features to swipe only on profiles that had already liked him. He highlighted the importance of profile pictures, stating that images featuring horses, European travel, and bright lighting create an impression of sophistication and wealth.
Ankit also emphasised the significance of showcasing professional and educational backgrounds. He suggested using creative descriptions to generate curiosity and advised maintaining a neutral yet confident expression in photos for a balanced first impression.
"In general, getting clicked where everyone is getting clicked is a bad idea. Cultural context and sustainable sources of attention are more suitable. If you're in Bangalore, pictures from Europe work. If you're in Europe, pictures from Bangalore work. Your bio comes last, but your profession and college come first. Be creative there," he explained.
As someone working in the AI industry, Ankit advised against overselling oneself. He suggested that downplaying achievements often appears more attractive than an overly curated persona. He also claimed that factors such as colour theory, location-based photo selection, and a well-thought-out profile contribute to better success on dating apps.
Social media users had mixed reactions to his insights. One user commented, "This is actually pretty solid advice." Another remarked, "You can launch a full-fledged course on how to get matches on dating apps." A third user expressed disbelief, saying, "My brain can never fathom a man getting so many likes tbh."
Ankit's post has sparked discussions on online dating strategies, with many users sharing their own experiences and opinions on the subject.
