Hisar Airport's Phase-2 Completion Marks New Era in Haryana's Aviation Development
Haryana's Hisar airport completes phase-2 with a Rs 1,205 crore investment, aiming for international standards and boosting regional connectivity.
Ex-Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar inaugurated the completion of phase-2 of Hisar airport on Thursday. He presented a roadmap for the airport's expansion. The Haryana government has invested Rs 1,205 crore in this project. This includes expanding the runway to 10,000 feet to meet international standards. The main aim is to accommodate large aircraft.
CM Khattar said that development will continue. Hisar is becoming Haryana's aviation hub. An MOU has been signed with an airline company for flights from the airport. Soon, air travel will start from Hisar to Chandigarh, Jaipur, Ayodhya, Jammu, and Ahmedabad. This will benefit Haryana, Punjab, and Rajasthan.

The foundation stone for 28 projects was laid in Hisar district, costing Rs 544 crore. CM Khattar said the double engine government is committed to developing all of Haryana without regional bias under Modi ji's guidance. He announced that an MOU with airlines has been signed and air travel from Hisar will start soon.
A new terminal building has been constructed at Hisar airport, covering 37,970 square meters. It can handle 1,000 peak hour passengers. The new terminal will have three aerobridges and four baggage claim belts. Civil construction agreements with various companies are planned to be completed by 2030.
The expansion of Hisar airport will make flights easier and boost regional development. The airport will now connect five states, creating new opportunities for tourism and business in the region.
