Heavy rains lash parts of Rajasthan
Jaipur, July 24: Due to aggressive South West monsoon, heavy rains today lashed parts of Rajasthan especially western districts of Jodhpur division with Bikaner recording maximum rainfall of 44.4 mm in last 24 hours, a MeT official said.
Western districts of Jaisalmer, Barmer, Churu, Bikaner, and Jodhpur received rainfall with the trough passing through north-west region, state MeT director, B K Vishnoi said.

Meanwhile, Kota recorded 44.2 mm rainfall followed by Bundi 30 mm, Chittorgarh 12 mm, Barmer 7.8 mm, Churu 5.3 mm, Ajmer and Sawaimadhopru 4.5 mm, and one to three mm at many places in the state.
Jaipur has received sporadic rainfall since last night but by and large hot and humid weather conditions prevailed causing sweltering, the MeT report said.
It is also predicted that the SW monsoon trend would continue in the state till July 28 with the best rainfall of the season, the MeT official said.
SW monsoon would continue to cover the state in next 24 hours in the state, the MeT director added. PTI
