Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini Urges Delhi Voters to Reject AAP and Its Unfulfilled Promises

During a campaign event for the BJP, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini criticised the AAP for not fulfilling its election promises. He urged voters to reject the Arvind Kejriwal-led party. Saini's remarks came during a public gathering at Rajinder Nagar, a central Delhi area known for coaching centres, which gained attention last year after three civil service aspirants died in a flooded basement.

Haryana CM Saini Calls on Delhi Voters to Reject AAP

Saini accused the AAP government of failing to deliver on its commitments. He claimed that Kejriwal had promised to help children from poor families become doctors and engineers but instead opened liquor shops in every lane. He also criticised the AAP for not providing clean water and failing to improve Delhi's roads, despite promises to make the city like Paris.

Criticism of AAP's Governance

The Haryana Chief Minister further alleged that Kejriwal had not fulfilled his promises over the past decade. He called on people to pledge to remove the corrupt AAP from power and push them across the Yamuna River. Saini emphasised that February 5 was an opportunity to teach the AAP a lesson and ensure the BJP's lotus symbol flourishes in Delhi.

Saini also criticised the AAP government for not implementing the Centre's Ayushman Bharat health insurance scheme, depriving the poor of its benefits. In a jibe at former Chief Minister Kejriwal, Saini remarked that Kejriwal had temporarily left Tihar Jail and would return after the election results.

AAP's Response to Allegations

Kejriwal is currently out on bail in connection with a case related to Delhi's liquor policy. In response to Saini's allegations, the AAP released a statement later in the day. The statement said, "The people of Delhi reject such hateful rhetoric. They stand with an honest government, a government that has delivered the lowest unemployment and inflation, the cheapest electricity bills, the highest per capita income, and a revenue surplus budget in the country."

The ruling party in Delhi also demanded an apology from Saini, accusing him of failing to create jobs in Haryana. They claimed this failure forced young people from Haryana to fight and die in Israel's war.

Upcoming Assembly Elections

The assembly elections in Delhi are set for February 5, with results expected on February 8. Saini also held rallies supporting BJP candidates Rajkumar Anand in Patel Nagar and Rekha Gupta in Shalimar Bagh later that day.

The political climate remains tense as both parties prepare for the upcoming elections. Each side is eager to sway voters with their respective narratives and promises.
