Ghatkopar Building collapse victims gets temporary accommodation at Bhandup

Around 7 families, which were victims of Ghatkopar Building collapse, received temporary accommodation at Manav SRA scheme at Bhandup on Thursday.

According to Ghatkopar West MLA Ram Kadam, "We were trying to get accommodation for them in Ghatkopar, but vacant flats were not available. There were flats in the Manav SRA scheme at Bhandup and these residents will be moving here. CM Devendra Fadnavis has sanctioned the flats on a temporary basis as a special case. Each flat is 269 sq feet."

At least 17 persons, including a 11 women and three-month old baby, were killed when a four-storied residential building crashed in Ghatkopar suburb of Mumbai on Tuesday morning.
