Drunk Teens Fatal Crash in Delhi

Sehrawat, 19, hails from Pochanpur village in Dwarka. He was reportedly intoxicated while searching for a dhaba to eat when the accident happened. The police arrested him on Friday after he had been apprehended and questioned the previous day. A senior officer confirmed that Sehrawat was driving a Swift car with his friend Pankaj accompanying him.

Accident Details and Victims

The duo was returning from Gurugram after attending a friend's event when the accident took place. Despite Pankaj's warnings to reduce speed, Sehrawat continued driving recklessly, leading to the fatal crash. Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) West, Vichitra Veer, provided details about the victims involved in this unfortunate incident.

The deceased were identified as Anish Ansari, 45, who worked in a factory in Mayapuri, and Phool Singh, 35, a chick maker. The injured included Kuldeep, 28; Phool's wife Soni, 25; and their five-year-old nephew Vishal. The DCP stated that Sehrawat lost control of the vehicle due to overspeeding at the time of the crash.

Investigation Findings

During the investigation, it was verified that Sehrawat possessed a valid driver's license. However, medical tests confirmed he was under the influence of alcohol during the accident. The police are continuing their investigation into this tragic event to gather more details about what transpired that night.

The authorities are urging drivers to adhere to traffic rules and avoid driving under the influence to prevent such tragedies. This incident serves as a stark reminder of the dangers posed by reckless driving and alcohol consumption behind the wheel.
