Empty offices in UP: Yogi directs, 'work 20 hours a day or make way'
He also issued a stern warning that those officials who do not perform or arrive late for duty will be acted upon.
Lucknow, April 10:It is now a known fact that Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath sleeps just 4 hours a day. With him taking charge as the UP CM, he has now issued a stern directive to all officials to either work 20 hours a day or make way.
Following in his footsteps was Agriculture Minister of UP, Surya Pratap Sahi. After finding that there were several late comers, he decided to first lock up the office and then ordered a one day loss of pay.
At least one third of the officials were missing at 10 am. Sahi found that most of the chairs were empty even at 10 am. He ordered that the building be locked up. He also issued a stern warning that those officials who do not perform or arrive late for duty will be acted upon.
The minister of state for minority affairs, Mohsin Raza also found several late-comers. He has asked for a report on all these persons. Raza even found that that the air-conditioners and fans in the office were on despite none of the officials turning up. He then pulled up those in the department for wasting electricity.
