Embarrassment for AAP! Party MLA arrested for rioting, sent to police custody
New Delhi, Jan 29: In an embarrassment for the Aaam Aadmi Party, Delhi Police on Friday arrested Party MLA Mahendra Yadav for allegedly assaulting a government official.
Mahendra Yadav is a member of Delhi's ruling AAP and represents the Vikaspuri assembly seat.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) lawamker Mahinder Yadav was on Friday arrested on the charge of rioting during a protest here, Delhi Police said.
Yadav was presented before Metropolitan Magistrate Harvinder Singh, who allowed Delhi Police to question Yadav till Saturday.
Yadav, who represents Vikaspuri constitunecy of the Delhi assembly, was arrested along with four AAP workers for rioting while protesting on Thursday against the alleged rape of a three-year-old girl in Nihal Vihar area of the city.
The alleged rape took place about two days ago.
The police said there were about 100-150 AAP supporters in the protest and that they tried to disrupt traffic movement.
"We have arrested Yadav and four AAP workers. They went on to protest despite the rape accused having been arrested."
"They pelted stones at the police, in which at least two officials were injured. They have been booked for rioting and causing hurt to public servant," said a police official.
