EC announces assembly election dates for 5 states: Know which party stands where

New Delhi, Mar 4: The Election Commission of India on Friday, March 4, announced the dates for five states--Assam, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Kerala and Puducherry, that will go to assembly polls in April and May.

Polling in these 5 states will start from April 4 while counting and declaration of results will be on May 19.

CEC Nasim Zaidi announced the poll dates on Friday.

Here are the current party positions in all these states:

Assam: 126 Assembly seats

Chief Minister: Tarun Gogoi (INC)
