Drone Disruption Causes Delays on Delhi Metro's Blue Line for Over 30 Minutes
Passengers on the Delhi Metro's Blue Line encountered disruptions for over half an hour on Wednesday. A drone was discovered on the tracks between Uttam Nagar East and Uttam Nagar West stations, causing the delay, officials reported. Train operations were adjusted from 2:50 pm to 3:29 pm while the drone was removed.

Drone Incident Causes Service Adjustments
During this time, trains did not run between Uttam Nagar East and Uttam Nagar West. However, single-line services were maintained between Uttam Nagar East and Janakpuri West, as well as between Uttam Nagar West and Dwarka. The rest of the Blue Line operated in two loops: Janakpuri West to Vaishali/NOIDA Electronic City and Dwarka to Dwarka Sec-21.
Normal Operations Resume After Clearance
Officials confirmed that normal services resumed across the entire Blue Line from Dwarka Sector 21 to Noida Electronic City/Vaishali at 3:29 pm following security clearance. The police received a report about a suspected drone on the metro track and responded promptly.
Upon arrival, police obtained necessary permissions, and CISF staff removed the drone from the track. It was identified as a small toy drone with no suspicious elements found, according to a senior police officer. The drone has been taken into police custody for further examination.
