Divya Pahuja Case: Man Accused Of Disposing Body Arrested At Kolkata Airport

Balraj Gill, one of the accused in the murder of former model Divya Pahuja, was arrested at the Kolkata airport by Gurugram Police on Thursday. Gill had fled from Patiala, Punjab, abandoning his vehicle near the bus stand, as per earlier police information. Another suspect, Ravi Banga, is still reported to be evading arrest.

"Gurugram Police took custody of Balraj Gill, an accused in the murder of model Divya Pahuja, at Kolkata airport on Thursday. He had gone missing after leaving his car near the Patiala bus stand. Ravi Banga, another accused, remains at large," stated Varun Dahiya, Gurugram ACP (Crime), addressing the media.

Divya, a former model, was allegedly shot dead by hotel owner Abhijeet Singh in Gurugram. Singh, along with two others, purportedly transported the body in a car and dumped it in Patiala.

On January 5, Gurugram Police announced the recovery of the car allegedly used in disposing of the model's body. "The car was captured on a security camera parked near the toll plaza. We discovered that the vehicle was headed towards Patiala. We were attempting to trace the vehicle used in the crime," mentioned Karan Singh, constable of the Crime Branch of Gurugram Police.

"This is the car (used in the crime). We confirmed it based on the number plate and color. The body was transported in this car and dumped," he added.

On Wednesday, at least three individuals were arrested in connection with the alleged killing of the 27-year-old woman in Gurugram, officials reported. CCTV footage indicated that the suspects dragged the body from the hotel to the car.
