Diljit Dosanjh Kicks Off Dil-Luminati India Tour 2024 with Sold-Out Show in Delhi
The Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium buzzed with excitement as Diljit Dosanjh began his Dil-Luminati India Tour 2024. The concert, held over the weekend in Delhi, saw the singer perform hits like "Lover," "5 Taara," and "Ikk Kudi." Fans were thrilled, with one saying, "It really felt like he's come back home. We're enjoying it."

Dosanjh, dressed in black with a turban and sunglasses, waved the national flag at the concert's start. He saluted the flag, earning cheers from the audience. Addressing the crowd, he asked, "O, ki haal Dilli walo? How are you people in Delhi?" The response was a loud roar of approval.
Traffic Chaos and Ticket Troubles
Many fans faced traffic jams on their way to the venue. Videos showed long queues at Barapullah Bridge. Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal shared his experience on Instagram, writing, "Walking the last mile to JLN Stadium for Diljit. So much traffic!"
At the stadium, large crowds waited eagerly to enter. Some fans struggled to get tickets due to high demand. One fan said, "I struggled for nine hours on Zomato Live to get some tickets." Others found themselves with invalid tickets and were denied entry.
Record-Breaking Concert Tour
The tour has already set records as the fastest-selling and highest-grossing concert event in India. Organised by Ripple Effect Studios and Saregama India, with Zomato Live handling ticketing, it has captivated fans nationwide.
Dosanjh announced his arrival in Delhi via Instagram on Friday. He shared photos from his flight and wrote, "Delhi Ka Mausam Kya Keh Raha Hai. DIL-LUMINATI TOUR Year 24." On Saturday, he posted a video from the stadium while inspecting arrangements.
Upcoming Shows and Global Recognition
The Delhi concerts mark the start of a 10-city tour that will include Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Pune, Kolkata, and more. The tour will conclude with a grand finale in Guwahati on December 29.
In recent years, Dosanjh has gained global recognition. In 2022, he became the first Punjabi artist to perform at Coachella. In June this year, he appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Fallon called him "the biggest Punjabi artist on the planet."
Besides music, Dosanjh has also made a name in films. He recently appeared in movies like Amar Singh Chamkila and Jatt and Juliet 3. His upcoming projects include Border 2 and a sequel to No Entry.
The second Delhi show is expected to sell out quickly. Only lounge tickets remain available, priced between Rs 32,000 and Rs 60,000. Fans are eager for another chance to see Dosanjh live.
