Dera manager Ranjit Singh murder case adjourned to Oct 25
Rohtak, Oct 21: The special CBI court on Saturday adjourned the hearing in the case of killing of former Dera Sacha Sauda manager Ranjit Singh to October 25.

Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, the Dera Sacha Sauda chief, is named as a conspirator in the case. The other accused in the case are Krishna Lal, Jasbeer Singh, Sabdil Singh and Indrasen.
The Dera chief is currently lodged in Sonaria jail in Rohtak, serving 20 years imprisonment, after he was convicted in rape cases in August.
Ranjit Singh had allegedly developed differences with the dera head after the allegations of sadhvis' rapes surfaced. He was shot dead in July 2002. Ram Rahim has been named as a conspirator behind the murder of journalist Ram Chander Chhatrapati as well. Both, Ranjit and Ram Chander, were killed in separate incidents in 2002.
Earlier in September, a special CBI court in Panchkula had dismissed a plea by Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh's former driver Khatta Singh seeking to record a fresh statement in the Ranjit Singh murder case.
Gurmeet Ram Rahim made his appearance in the Panchkula court via video-conferencing as final arguments in the cases progressed on September 16.
The CBI court is also hearing a case of killing of journalist Ram Chander Chhatrapati who was shot at in October 2002 after a newspaper owned by him, 'Poora Sach', published an anonymous letter narrating how women were being sexually exploited by the sect head at the dera headquarters. The hearing in the case will take place on October 27 in the CBI court.
