Delhi polls: Congress observers give feedback to Sonia Gandhi
New Delhi, Feb 7: On the eve of Delhi Assembly polls, around 200 party observers and campaigners met Congress President Sonia Gandhi here on Friday to brief her about the party's prospects.
This is one of the toughest elections Congress is facing in Delhi after its virtual decimation in last Assembly polls in 2013, when it had won on only eight seats in the 70-member assembly.

The general impression in the party is that retaining those seats itself is a tough call. However, AICC general secretary and Communication Department Chairman Ajay Maken, who is the party's face for the Assembly polls, said the workers are enthused and he is very confident that the party would perform much better than what is being speculated.
AICC general secretary Ambika Soni also dismissed surveys projecting a very bad performance for Congress and said the results will show they are not correct. Reacting to advertisement blitzkreig of the BJP, she said that Congress has "not collected that much money".
"You need to spend huge amount of money to issue a full page newspaper advertisement. We have not collected that much money," she said.
