In a shocking incident, the Delhi Police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) following an incident where two suspects allegedly hurled stones at a shop and discharged a firearm into the air in the Sangam Vihar area of South Delhi. The incident came to light after a video clip captured by a nearby CCTV camera surfaced on social media, prompting swift action from the authorities.

Viral Video Sparks Police Action

The video footage, which has since gone viral, shows two individuals arriving on a scooter and parking it near the shop in a lane of Sangam Vihar. One of the suspects proceeds to pelt stones at the shop while the other recklessly fires a shot into the air, causing panic among the bystanders who can be seen frozen in fear and observing the situation.

Motive Behind the Attack

According to a police official, investigations revealed that the main perpetrator, identified as Aakash alias TT, a 24-year-old resident of Sangam Vihar, had a prior dispute with Kaushal and Shivam Tiwari a few days before the incident. On January 16, Aakash, accompanied by an accomplice, arrived at the shop belonging to Kaushal's elder brother, Sumit Tiwari, and engaged in stone-pelting. Additionally, a single shot was fired into the air, although the shop was fortunately closed at the time of the incident.

Police Investigation Underway

In response to the incident, the police have registered a case based on the complaint filed by Sumit Tiwari, and a thorough investigation is currently underway. Dedicated teams have been formed with the specific objective of apprehending the accused individuals involved in this brazen act of violence.

The incident has raised concerns about public safety and the need for stricter measures to prevent such occurrences. The Delhi Police are actively pursuing the suspects, and further updates on the case are expected as the investigation progresses.
