Delhi: Man shoots parents over the possession of car that he got in his wedding!

New Delhi, Oct 13: In a case of a family feud, 26-year-old man allegedly shot at his parents on Monday, Oct 12, in south-west Delhi, over a dispute for the possession of a car, that he got as a 'wedding gift' by his in-laws.

The shocking incident happened when Amit Prakash's parents visited his flat in Dwarka Sector-18 to discuss some family matters.

The victims are being treated in a private hospital and are out of danger, police said.

Police said Amit, who is absconding, shot at his parents- 49-year-old Brahm Prakash and 45-year-old Savita Devi, at his flat around 12.30 pm.

A case of attempt to murder has been registered against Amit at Dwarka North police station.

A police official said Amit indulged in a heated argument with his parents as soon as they reached his flat.

"He later took out a pistol and fired several rounds. Two bullets hit his father in his hip and thigh, one hit his mother in the leg. Amit fled the scene by the time other residents gathered around and made a call to police," the official said.

Police rushed the couple to Ayushman hospital from where they were later shifted to Medanta hospital in Gurgaon.

His parents are said to be out of danger now.
