Delhi CM's Aide Files Complaint Against AAP MP for Abuse and Unauthorized Entry

In a recent development from Delhi, Bibhav Kumar, an aide to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, has lodged a police complaint against AAP MP Swati Maliwal. The complaint, filed on Friday, accuses Maliwal of unauthorized entry into the Chief Minister's residence on May 13 and causing a disturbance. According to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Kumar alleges that Maliwal not only breached security protocols but also verbally abused him when he attempted to intervene.

CM Aide Accuses AAP MP of Abuse

The complaint, submitted via email to the SHO of Civil Lines Police Station and copied to the Deputy Commissioner of Police North, outlines a series of events leading to the altercation. Kumar claims Maliwal forcefully gained entry by misleading security personnel about her status as a Rajya Sabha MP. Despite being asked to wait for verification of her appointment, Maliwal proceeded into the residence against the security team's advice.

Upon encountering Maliwal inside the premises at around 9:22 am, Kumar states he found her in the drawing room and politely requested her to adhere to the official protocol for meetings with the Chief Minister. The situation escalated as Maliwal allegedly began screaming, shouting, and hurling abuses at Kumar, questioning his authority to stop an MP.

Kumar's complaint further details that Maliwal ignored his requests and attempted to move deeper into the residence, purportedly aiming to confront Kejriwal directly. He expressed concerns for the Chief Minister's safety and strongly objected to her actions. In response, Maliwal reportedly threatened Kumar with legal repercussions and vowed to implicate him in a false case that would lead to imprisonment.

The complaint also mentions that after continued requests for her to leave were ignored, security personnel were called upon, leading to her departure from the premises at 9:35 am. Kumar alleges that Maliwal's actions constituted trespassing, a breach of security, obstruction of government officials in their duties, and assault.

In his plea for legal action against Maliwal, Kumar suggests that her conduct might have been influenced by political motives, given the proximity to election time. He has requested an investigation into Maliwal's communications with BJP leaders, hinting at a possible conspiracy.

This incident adds another layer of complexity to the political landscape in Delhi, with allegations flying between representatives of prominent political parties. The police are yet to respond to Kumar's complaint or take any public action against Maliwal.
