Delhi BJP Tags CM Kejriwal As The Post Boy Of Corruption

Today, hundreds of BJP workers protested outside Aam Aadmi Party's ITO office, who the Delhi Police later detained for creating ruckus on the streets. To control the protesters, authorities had to use water cannons when crowd seemed to be getting aggressive and uncontrolled.

Meanwhile, the Delhi CM has decided to move to the Supreme Court to challenge his arrest made by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with money laundering related to the now-scrapped Delhi Liqour Policy. A day ago, the Delhi High Court rejected his plea seeking immunity.

The reports said, that Arvind Kejriwal's counsel Vivek Jain has filed a plea in the Supreme Court to challenge the arrest and high court's order. Also, it is expected that Kejriwal's counsel will seek an urgent hearing as the court will be closed for Eid, Vaisakhi, and Ambedkar Jayanti.

Earlier, during the hearing in the High Court, Justice Swarna Kanta Sharma said that ED has enough evidence and the arrest made was as per the procedure. The High Court told Arvind Kejriwal's counsel that CM did not join the investigation timely, which caused the delay in the probe and is impacting others' judicial custody too.
