Delhi Police Detain 12-Year-Old Boy Following Class 6 Student's Death After School Scuffle
A 12-year-old student from Class 6 died after a minor altercation at a private school in Delhi. Following this incident, the Delhi Police have detained a classmate of the deceased. According to officials, the incident occurred when the victim's shoulder brushed against some students, leading to a scuffle that resulted in his death.

Police sources revealed that during the school assembly, the victim's shoulder accidentally touched other boys, sparking a heated argument. CCTV footage captured some students, including the apprehended boy, punching the victim and holding his neck. The investigation is ongoing to uncover more details about the incident.
Protests and Investigation
After Prince's death, hundreds gathered outside Chinmaya Vidyalaya in southwest Delhi to protest. Prince lived in Kudumpur Pahari, Vasant Vihar. The police reviewed CCTV footage showing boys fighting after the morning assembly. A 12-year-old boy from the same class has been detained under Section 105 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for culpable homicide not amounting to murder.
Prince was admitted to Chinmaya Vidyalaya under the economically weaker section quota and had just turned 12 on November 3. His family confirmed this information. Meanwhile, Fortis Hospital in Vasant Kunj reported at 10:15 am on Tuesday that Prince was brought dead. An examination of his body showed no visible injuries but foam-like substance was found around his mouth.
School's Response and Family's Statement
The school issued a statement expressing deep sorrow over the tragic event during a class transition. They mentioned that a scuffle between two students of similar age led to one student's collapse. The school administration has informed authorities and is cooperating fully while offering condolences and support to Prince's family.
Doctors suggested that Prince might have experienced a convulsion-related condition. However, Prince's father, Sagar, who works as a sewer line worker in Vasant Vihar, stated that his son had no medical history and was healthy when he dropped him off at school on Tuesday.
The investigation continues as authorities seek to understand all aspects of this unfortunate incident. The focus remains on ensuring justice for Prince while supporting his grieving family during this difficult time.
