Congress leader and former Union minister Anand Sharma held discussions with various social organizations, civil society representatives, and Congress frontal organizations in Jaipur on Friday. The purpose of these discussions was to gather suggestions for the party's manifesto for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Suggestions from Various Stakeholders
In the meeting, Congress MLAs, former legislators, social workers, and representatives from different sections of society provided their valuable suggestions. Sharma also had a discussion with the Indian Youth Congress (IYC), the National Students Union of India (NSUI), and Congress office-bearers and workers to seek their inputs for the party's manifesto for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
Presence of Senior Congress Leaders
Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee general secretary and spokesperson Swarnim Chaturvedi informed that the party's state president Govind Singh Dotasra, Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Tikaram Jully, and former Assembly Speaker C P Joshi, who served as the chairman of the Manifesto Committee in the Rajasthan Assembly elections, were also present in the meeting.
Emphasis on Youth, Women, and Civil Society
Anand Sharma, a member of the Congress Manifesto Committee constituted by the All India Congress Committee, highlighted that the youth, women, and members of civil society, along with all sections of society, have put forward their suggestions. He assured that these suggestions will be taken seriously by the Congress while preparing the manifesto.
Focus on Social Security and Agniveer Scheme
Sharma mentioned that important suggestions have been received from Rajasthan on various subjects, including social security and the Agniveer defense recruitment scheme. He criticized the central government for suppressing real issues through blatant propaganda and false narratives.
Incorporation of Suggestions in Manifesto
Sharma stated that all the suggestions received on Friday will be carefully considered and discussed before the party's national committee. The suggestions that align with the party's vision and priorities will be included in the manifesto.
