Vote counting in both states is set to commence at 8 am on Saturday. The process will start with postal ballots and will be conducted under stringent security measures at all counting centres in Maharashtra and Jharkhand.

The 288-member Maharashtra Assembly saw a direct competition between the BJP-Shiv Sena-NCP Mahayuthi alliance and the Congress-Shiv Sena (Uddhav) and NCP-Mahavikas Aghadi alliance. Elections took place on November 20 in a single phase with a voter turnout of 65.02%.

The outcome of these elections is eagerly awaited as it could significantly impact political dynamics in both states. The results will reveal whether alliances have managed to sway voters or if incumbents retain their hold.

This election season has been marked by intense campaigning from all parties involved, each aiming to secure a majority in their respective assemblies. As counting progresses, political analysts are keenly observing trends that may emerge from early results.

The anticipation surrounding these elections highlights their importance within India's broader political landscape. With tight security ensuring fair counting processes, stakeholders remain hopeful for transparent outcomes reflecting public sentiment accurately.
