Charges framed against engineer in corruption case
Muzaffarnagar, Jul 23 : A local court has framed charges against a former engineer of Muzaffarnagar Development Authority in connection with a corruption case here.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Rajbir Singh framed the charges under various sections of Prevention of Corruption Act against former engineer of Muzaffarnagar Development Authority (MDA) Yogesh Chand Gupta here last evening.
It was alleged that the engineer had accepted bribe from builders. According to prosecution, Gupta was arrested and the bribe money was recovered from his office during a raid of the officers here on January 4, 2011.
