CBSE List of Candidates Deadline Alert: Schools Must Submit Data By October 4
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is nearing the closure of the submission window for the List of Candidates (LOC) for the 2024-2025 academic year. According to an official release by the CBSE, the deadline for submitting the LOC with a normal fee is October 4. With only three days remaining, schools and students are urged to complete the process promptly.
In a prior circular, the CBSE had directed all affiliated schools to ensure the accuracy of the data they submit, particularly with regard to the subjects chosen by students. It is vital that schools adhere to the specified timeline for the submission of the LOC. Any delays or inaccuracies in the data could result in complications for students wishing to appear for their Class 10 and 12 Board examinations.
The board also emphasised the role of school principals in overseeing the submission process. Principals have been instructed to obtain a report confirming the successful submission of the LOC. This step is crucial to ensure that all candidates are registered correctly and within the time frame provided by CBSE.
In its LOC Circular No. CBSE/LOC/X-XI/2024-25/7667/E-File-163685, dated September 4, the CBSE listed three essential requirements for schools: submitting accurate data for all students, ensuring the correct subjects are listed for each student, and submitting the LOC within the stipulated deadline.
To assist schools with the process, the CBSE also released a set of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs). These FAQs aim to clarify common issues and ensure smooth compliance with LOC procedures. Adhering to these guidelines will help students and schools maintain the accuracy of the LOC, which is crucial for the proper organisation of the CBSE Class 10 and 12 examinations in 2024-2025.
The submission of the List of Candidates is mandatory, as it registers eligible students for the upcoming board exams. Only those students whose details are submitted through this process will be allowed to appear for their Class 10 and 12 exams.
