CBSE Class 10th results declared; girls outperform boys
New Delhi, May 28: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) declared Class 10 board examination results for all regions by 2 pm on Thursday, May 28 a CBSE official said.
Girls pipped boys in the Class 10 results of the CBSE exam that were announced today, official said.
The percentage of girls who qualified for higher class is 97.82, while for boys it was 96.98.
A total of 94,474 students scored 10 CGPA (cumulative grade points average). Of these 49,392 were boys, and 45,082 were girls.
In Delhi, 8,026 students scored 10 CGPA.
Overall pass percentage in Allahabad- 98.46, Dehradun- 97.37, Bhubaneswar- 97.15, Patna- 98.10, Ajmer- 98.03, Panchkula- 97.97, Delhi- 96.29, Guwahati- 86.55, Chennai- 99.03 and Trivandrum- 99.77.
A total of 94,474 students scored a perfect 10 CGPA, of them 49,392 were boys and 45,082 girls. Chandigarh region fared the best with highest number of students, a total of 15479, scoring perfect ten.
There was a drop in the overall pass percentage this year, which was 97.32 as compared to the 98.87 in the 2014.
The overall percentage of candidates qualifying for admission in higher class in Thiruvananthapuram region is 99.77, which is the highest among all regions.
The total number of registered candidates was 13,73,853 - an increase of 3.37 percent over 2014 figure.
Schools can access the results on internet by giving their school code and email-ID by registering themselves on www.results.nic.in, www.cbseresults.nic.in and www.cbse.nic.in. [CBSE class X results to be out today]
A CBSE official admitted that the board website was down because of heavy traffic.
"I have been trying for 15 minutes to check my result but the website is not responding. The server is down," a student complained.

The CBSE result for Class 10 will be in the form of Cumulative Grade Points Average (CGPA), the aggregate of grade points earned in all the subjects excluding the sixth additional subject.
Class 10th students were expecting their result to be declared on Wednesday, May 27. Due to unknown reasons, declaration of results were postponed. [CBSE 10th class results postponed]
