CBI raids at National Defence Academy premises in Pune

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) registered a case against Principal of National Defence Academy in Pune's Khadakwasla and others over allegations of irregularities in selection/appointment of teaching faculty in NDA.

Also, cases have been registered against a Professor of Political Science, Asst Professors of Chemistry, Mathematics, HOD of Chemistry department.

The CBI conducted searches at the premises, including office/residences of the accused in Pune in connection with the case.

National Defence Academy apprised of the allegations by the CBI.

The defence training centre stated that "NDA was apprised of the allegations by the CBI team. It is clarified that the issue related to allegations of submission of inappropriate documentation by some academic faculty members at the time of their selection and appointment to NDA by the UPSC."
