By-polls: 8 killed in Kashmir; clashes in RK Nagar, MP
Former J-K chief minister Farooq Abdullah is candidate of NC-Congress alliance for the Srinagar Lok Sabha seat.
By-elections to one Lok Sabha seat and 10 assembly constituencies in eight states, including Delhi voting are being held on Sunday.
The constituencies that go to the polls today are:
- Rajouri Garden (Delhi)
- Litipara (Jharkhand)
- Nanjangud and Gundlupet (Karnataka)
- Dholpur (Rajasthan)
- Kanthi Dakshin (West Bengal)
- Ater and Bandhavgarh (Madhya Pradesh)
- Bhoranj (Himachal Pradesh)
- Dhemaii (Assam)
- Srinagar (J&K)
Meanwhile, internet services in three districts falling under the Srinagar Parliamentary constituency, were shut down from Saturday night as a precautionary measure to prevent floating of rumours by
anti-national elements.

02:30 pm: The CEO of MP Saleena Singh who recently had been in news for the infamous test on EVM before by-elections has said that there has been no incident of booth capturing in MP and situation has been in control.
02:07 pm: Around 50 per cent polling was registered till afternoon across 231 polling stations for the Dholpur Assembly by-polls in Rajasthan.
01:30 pm: Three people were killed when security forces opened fire on mobs attacking polling stations and poll personnel in Budgam district.
