Bus catches fire in Madhya Pradesh, 50 killed, 13 injured

Panna (MP), May 4: At least 50 people were killed and 13 injured when a private bus caught fire near Pandav falls on Monday, May 4.

The incident happened when the bus, plying from Chhattarpur to Panna, fell into a gorge in Bhairav Ghat region of Panna district and caught fire.

"We have pulled out 15 charred bodies so far. The bus was on its way to Satna from Chhatarpur. Injured passengers have been rushed to the district hospital." said ASP RD Prajapati.

Modi expresses grief

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed grief over the bus accident.

"News of bus accident in Panna, MP is extremely saddening. Condolences to families of the deceased. I wish the injured a speedy recovery," Modi said in a statement here.
