BSF, Assam rifles deployed to stop Rohingyas: Rajnath Singh

New Delhi, July 31: Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh said BSF and Assam rifles deployed to stop the Rohingyas from entering Assam.

Replying on NRC issue in Lok Sabha, "We have deployed BSF and Assam rifles to stop the Rohingyas from entering the state. We have also given directions to the state govt to restrict the movement of Rohingyas within the state."

"Once we get the exact data on NRC, "We will give it to the MEA and the MEA along with the coordination with the Myanmar government will take action on the deportation of Rohingyas," Singh said.

Chaiperson Venkaiah Naidu tried assuring the House for a second time that Home Minister Rajnath Singh will answer questions on the National Register of Citizens (NRC) issue.

RJD MP Jay Prakash Narayan Yadav and Congress MP Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury moved adjournment motion notice in Lok Sabha over NRC Assam draft which was released on Monday.
