BJP's first government in Manipur: Swearing in today
The new Manipur Government will be sworn in on Wednesday. The new government under the Chief Ministership of Biren Singh will take oath on Wednesday.
Singh who was appointed as the BJP's legislature party was invited by Governor, Najma Hepthullah to form the government. Apart from Singh his council of ministers too would be sworn in on Wednesday. The BJP's national president, Amit Shah and Union Minister Jitendra Singh will attend the swearing in ceremony to be held in Imphal.
The BJP is installing its first government in Manipur. Although the party ended up in the second spot in the recently concluded assembly elections 2017, the BJP managed to rope in other parties to get the numbers. The Congress had disputed the BJP's claim and said that it should have been called in to form the government in Manipur.
