BJP parliamentary board meets; Jaitely speaks about GST

Yesterday the Congress, the Trinamool Congress, the Left parties and the RJD created uproar in both the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha as soon as the Houses met for the day.

The BJP parliamentary board met in Parliament library building on Wednesday ahead of the second day of the Monsoon session.

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley is said to have discussed the launch of Goods and Services Tax (GST).

After the meet, Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Ananth Kumar said, "Jaitley ji spoke about the successful launch of the GST.'

Ananth Kumar wished the parliamentary proceeding s would run smoothly. ' We wish both the houses of Parliament would run smoothly and we are ready for positive discussion,' he said.

Yesterday the Congress, the Trinamool Congress, the Left parties and the RJD created uproar in both the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha as soon as the Houses met for the day.

Due to the ruckus, the Lok Sabha was adjourned for the day minutes after noon following one adjournment earlier while the Rajya Sabha was adjourned repeatedly till 3 pm and then for the day, without transacting any business.
